Privacy Policy

This page explains what data AI Exodus collects, how we use it, and how you control it. We've written it in plain language. The legal version is referenced in our Terms of Service.

Who we are

AI Exodus operates the website ai-exodus.com and the AI Exodus mobile and web applications. For privacy questions, contact us at the email on our contact page.

What data we collect

• Account data: email, password (hashed), display name, optional date of birth.
• Personality training data: answers to onboarding questions, choices in personality games, conversational interactions used to train your AI twin.
• Optional voice samples: if you opt into voice cloning, the audio sample you provide.
• Match interaction data: twin-to-twin chat logs and twin-to-human chat logs initiated within the app.
• Technical data: IP address, browser/device type, basic usage logs needed to operate the service.

What we do not collect

• We do not access your contacts, photo library, or device identifiers beyond what's required to deliver the service.
• We do not buy data about you from third parties.
• We do not track you across the web for advertising purposes.

How we use your data

• To train your personal AI twin (only your account, only your twin).
• To run the matchmaking pipeline that introduces you to compatible users.
• To send you account-related notifications (login alerts, security, optional product updates).
• To investigate abuse, fraud, or safety incidents.

What we never do

• Sell your personality data. Not now, not ever.
• Use your private chats to train models other users interact with. Your data trains your twin only.
• Share your identifiable data with advertisers.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personality data, voice samples, training history, and AI twin are deleted within 30 days from primary storage. Anonymized analytics may be retained.

How we protect your data

• Personality data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption.
• Connections to the service use TLS (HTTPS) encryption.
• Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel for support, abuse, and operational reasons.

Your rights

You can:

• Access your data through the in-app account screen.
• Export your training data on request.
• Delete your AI twin and all training data instantly from settings.
• Delete your account permanently from settings.
• Object to or restrict processing of specific data.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if applicable.

Cookies

We use a minimum set of cookies needed to keep you logged in and to keep the app functioning. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Children

AI Exodus is not for users under 18. If we discover an account belongs to a minor, we delete it.

International transfers

AI Exodus services run on AWS in the eu-west-3 (Paris) region. If we transfer data to other regions for technical reasons, we apply appropriate safeguards.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a material way, we'll notify users in-app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
