AION Companion, an AI companion for AION 2

What she reads

Your screen, and one small log.

No add-on, no game API, nothing inside the game. AION Companion reads a few small areas of the AION 2 screen with text recognition on your PC, plus, read-only, the short event log the game's own crash reporter writes on your PC (which window you opened, a level reached, a map loaded). No picture of your game is ever uploaded.

Health and mana

The HP bar with its numbers, and the MP bar beside it. She notices when a fight turns bad, and when it turns back.

Your target

The name and health of whatever you have targeted, for as long as you have it targeted.

Where you are

The zone name over the minimap, so she knows when you arrive somewhere new.

The quest tracker

Your tracked quest, its level, its objectives as they tick off, and how far away it is.

The message feed

Loot, kina, quest steps and level-ups, as the game announces them.

Your skills, when you open them

Open your Skill window or Daevanion board and she remembers what was on it, so build advice starts from your own skills.

She also goes quiet during cutscenes and NPC conversations, and picks up after. She reads text the way you do, so now and then she misreads a line; nothing she reads is ever acted on. She only talks.

She reads

A few small strips of the screen and the game's own event log, read on your PC.

She thinks

A few words about the moment (zone, health, the last message) go to write her line. Never an image.

She talks

Out loud, in her own voice, with a small animated character over the game.

Fair play

She never touches the game.

She watches your screen the way a friend on the couch would. Nothing is attached to AION 2, and nothing she does gives you an advantage that friend would not.

Can I download it?

Not yet. AION Companion is not released, and nothing on this page is a download. New builds are announced in our Discord first.

Do I need a new account?

No. It signs in with the same Companion account as the World of Warcraft app: the same plan, the same coins, the same monthly lines. If you do not have one yet, the free account you make today is the one it will use.

Does it read the game's memory or files?

It never reads the game's memory or its data files. It reads your screen and, read-only, that one crash-reporter log in your AppData folder, all on your PC. Nothing is attached to the game, and no picture of it is uploaded.

What will it cost?

It signs in with your Companion account, so it uses whatever plan that account has. Today that is a free tier, Companion and Companion Plus (see the plans). Pricing at release will be on the same page.

Is it made by NCSOFT?

No. AION Companion is an independent product by AI Exodus. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NCSOFT, and it uses no NCSOFT artwork.
